Kenyans who hire refugees without a work permit should be prosecuted, a magistrate said yesterday. Giving his sentiments in a case where a refugee, Abdi Hassan, is charged with working without a permit, Nairobi chief magistrate Kiarie Waweru advised police prosecutor Onesmus Towet to consider charging the employers of the refugees. Hassan was arrested on January 16 when he was found working as a receptionist at the Bushra Hotel in Eastleigh.
