A 43-year-old-man yesterday committed suicide in Kericho after consuming a poisonous substance that killed him instantly. Reuben Chirchir, a resident of Ketitui, was found dead in his house where he had locked himself in. His brother, Samuel Chirchir, had gone to discuss family matters with him when he found him dead. Samuel said his brother had tried to kill himself several times in the past. Kericho police boss Clement Gatogo said they are investigating the motive of the suicide. The body of the deceased was taken to the Kericho District Hospital mortuary.
