A Thika coffee farmer has gone to the High Court to seek orders restraining Barclays Bank from selling his two properties worth more than Sh5 million. Edward Mbugua moved to court yesterday under a certificate of urgency saying an interim injunction that may transfer his property to unknown persons has been discharged. Mbugua told the court that the bank has continuously been demanding "contradictory and incorrect figures" even though he was unable to repay the Sh500,000 loan regularly. The bank urged the court to dismiss the application saying its has no merit.
