Eldoret-based lawyer Paul Birech’s bid for the Uasin Gishu senator seat on an ODM ticket has received a boost after a group of university students rallied behind him. The students from public and private universities said they will ensure Birech clinches the seat in March 4 General Election. Shadrack Sitienei and Richard Kemboi, who spoke for the students, vowed to mount a door-to-door drive for their candidate and asked his rivals to prepare for a major battle.
