Chief Kadhi Ahmed Shariff Khitamy on Sunday announced that Muslims will celebrate Eid Ul Fitr Monday after the sighting of the moon. The celebration will mark the end of a month-long fast by Muslim faithfuls which will be followed by a public holiday on Tuesday. The holiday was gazetted on July 23 in a government notice after the month-long fast started on June 28.
