MPs have raised concerns over the importation of cars that are contaminated with radiation. Leader of Majority Aden Duale yesterday said there is an alleged conspiracy between some companies tendered to carry out vehicle inspection before importation on behalf of the Kenya Bureau of Standards, and the importers. The collusion has seen some contaminated cars, especially from Japan, enter the country. Hundreds of cars were contaminated during the Fukushima mega nuclear disaster in Japan in 2011.
