Police officers in Chesoi have shot dead four suspected thugs in Kimanech Forest, Elgeyo Marakwet county. The four are part of a six-member gang believed to have hijacked a Trans Nzoia county public health officer and robbed him of his phone and Sh6,500. The health officer raised an alarm which immediately the residents avail themselves and without wasting time, they begun to chase the thugs. Marakwet East police boss Emmanuel Rono said two thugs escaped with injuries. He said police have launched a manhunt. Rono thanked residents for raising the alarm.
