THE Kenya Police is on the spot once again for allegations of extrajudicial killings. A human rights group accused the Anti-Terror Police Unit of extrajudicial killings, torture and enforced disappearance. In a report released yesterday, Human Rights Watch has documented more than 20 incidences in which suspects have disappeared, been tortured or executed by suspected ATPU officers. Most of the suspects had either been released by the courts for lack of evidence or their trials were still pending in court, when they disappeared or were killed in cold blood.
