KENYA Power on Sunday launched a Sh180 million systems upgrade to eradicate frequent outages in Kisii county. Kenya Power managing director Ben Chumo and Kisii Governor James Ongwae launched the four-day upgrade dubbed ‘Operation Boresha Umeme in Kisii’ at Nyangena substation, Kisii town. A team of 650 staff, including engineers and technicians, are camped in Kisii for the system refurbishment. Chumo and Ongwae said once the upgrade is completed, residents will enjoy uninterrupted power supply.
