A middle-aged man arrested last week for skipping his TB medication has been jailed for nine months by a Naivasha court. Ezekiel Karanja, a flower farm worker, pleaded guilty to the charges. The court heard that Karanja has infected three of his family members with the disease, which he has been suffering from since 2009. Naivasha principal magistrate Esther Boke termed him a risk to members of the public. Boke ordered that he be placed under a special unit and be monitored as he takes the medication.
