KILIFI deputy speaker Teddy Mwambire has called on the national government to assign MCAs armed guards following a spate of threats and attacks on them. Mwambire said their houses should be guarded 24hrs by police. Speaking yesterday at Madamani in his Sokoke ward, Mwambire said apart from the shooting of Shella ward MCA Kadenge Mwathethe at the end of October, 12 other members have recorded statements with the police after receiving threatening messages to their phones.
