Boy, 5, beaten up for 'theft'

A five-year-old boy is recuperating at Mariakani Hospital in Kinango, Kwale, after his mother beat him up. Mwavumbo chief Patrick Ngome said the boy’s mother accused him of stealing Sh2,000 from a neighbour. The boy’s mother said she is still paying Sh2,000 that the boy allegedly stole from another neighbour last week. Ngome yesterday said investigations are underway.
