THE Supreme Court yesterday quashed a decision by two lower courts barring the Judges and Magistrates Vetting Board from probing the conduct of judicial officers. Six Supreme Court judges overturned the decision by the Court of Appeal and High Court, which had ruled that the board did not have jurisdiction to scrutinise magistrates and judges before the constitution took effect on August 10, 2010.
