Gem CDF project contractors told to give residents jobs or forget tenders

HIRE locals or lose tenders, Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo has told contractors for CDF projects. “The move will improve the living standards residents and move away from the tradition of contractors hiring outsiders,” he said. Midiwo was speaking during the issuing of CDF cheques at Masinde Primary School, Anyiko police post and Gongo Resource Centre. He said the projects should end the vicious cycle of poverty in Gem.
