The county assembly yesterday approved the nominee for the clerk’s position. Mohamed Santur, who was vetted by the county assembly service board on October 15, was unanimously approved by the members. Speaker Mohamed Abbey said Santur has the requisite qualification and vast experience for the job. The majority of the members praised Santur as a performer. Santur has held the position in an acting capacity since October 2013. The holder of Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration and Bachelor of Business Management degrees was the clerk of the now-defunct Garissa municipal council.
