A farmhand in Kieni West was on Wednesday night beaten to death by members of the public after he butchered his wife and ate her intestines. Morris Mutegi, 23, chopped off Caroline Gatwiri's head with a machete in Wendiga village, Nyeri. Mutegi allegedly cut out Gatwiri's intestines, heart, kidney, ears and tongue and ate them. According to his employer, Ann Wangechi, he had earlier picked up Gatwiri at the neighbouring Mweiga Township where she had arrived from Meru to visit him.
