Leaders from Homa Bay town have been urged to take part in mobilising members of the public to register as voters. The constituency's IEBC coordinator Doreen Wawire said many residents might be locked out of the registration if the leaders do not encourage them to. “It seems most people wait until the last minute to register. This might deny them the chance to take part in the March 4 elections,” Wawire said. By the end of last week, only 13,666 people of the the targeted 44,000 had been registered. The registration will conclude on December 18.
