Nominated MP Rachael Shebesh has urged Kenyan women to embrace competitive politics instead of waiting to be nominated by political parties. She asked them to use the government initiatives to realise their leadership potential. The MP was addressing more than 500 women from Nyandarua at Shamata Catholic Church hall in Ndaragwa constituency yesterday. She said although the new constitution has opened opportunities for women, they must prove their political worth. Shebesh launched the “Wamama na Uhuru” campaign movement in support of the TNA’s presidential hopeful Uhuru Kenyatta.
