Narok governor plan to eradicate flooding
NAROK governor has said experts from the Roads Ministry will carry out a survey of the town to establish the best way of averting frequent flood water. Man hacks his wife to death
Police in Kapsabet are looking for a man who at the weekend hacked his wife to death before fleeing from his house in Kaptobongen, Nandi Central. Nandi North police boss Nelson Okioga said Paul Keter, 40 murdered his wife Eunice Jepkorir while she slept. 2,000 secondary schools connected to ICT, saus Edicatopm PS Godia
The government has so far supplied computers to 2,000 secondary schools to enable them adopt ICT in teaching and learning. Education PS George Godia said the schools had received 11 computers and a laptop each along with internet connectivity. Narok child buried alive in landslide
A child was on Saturday morning killed after their house was destroyed by a landslide at Kajonga area in Narok.
Kenya Red Cross Narok coordinator Ali Juma said the child's mother escaped narrowly and sustained minor injuries.
“The landslide happened at 5pm and the mother was saved by neighbours after she screamed but it was too late for the child who was already buried by the mud,” he said.
The body was taken to Narok District Hospital Mortuary.
Juma urged locals to move to safer grounds so as to avoid more catastrophes occuring as heavy rains continue to pound the region.
