MOTOR vehicles importers in the country have welcomed the move by the World Bank to address challenges at the Mombasa port. The Bank had earlier warned Kenya to improve efficiency at the port or risk being abandoned by dependant countries in import and exports. During a recent meeting with Deputy President William Ruto in Japan, World Bank Vice President for Africa Makhtar Diop said congestion at the port frustrates Uganda, Tanzania and Sudan.
