Kenya Airways will introduce a new cargo freight to connect the Eldoret Airport to the middle East and the European market. Dominic Biwott, Canken International general manager, said KQ will airlift one tonne of the produce to Nairobi from where they will be exported. Biwott said the freight will be a boost to the export of fruits, vegetables and flowers to the Middle East and European markets. The new cargo freighter will also open up new opportunities in the horticulture rich North Rift region. This comes a month after KQ introduced daily flights to the Eldoret International Airport.
