Local leaders and residents of Baringo county have been warned against giving wrong reports on cattle rustling attacks. Deputy commissioner of police Leo Nyongesa said arrests and charges will be made against anybody suspected to make unconfirmed utterances on crime. He said security organs have over the years wasted a lot of resources responding to lies. Nyongesa was speaking to the media after addressing top county security officers at Kabarnet police station on Wednesday.
