Tough penalties by the new Kenya National Examination Act saw cases of cheating during national examinations drop by 90.99 per cent. Only 718 candidates from 41 centres were involved in examination irregularities as compared to 7,967 in 2011. “This was a very significant drop,” Education minister Mutula Kilonzo said yesterday as he released the results.
